Barnardo's Competition

One World: Our Children, Our Future was the theme for 2007’s Islam Awareness Week.  That was the first year that we teamed up with Barnardo’s the national children’s charity (UK registered charity no. 216250 and Scottish registered charity no. sc037605), to organise the ‘Open Eyes’ Sponsorship Competition for primary and secondary schools.

In 2008, once again, we joined hands with Barnado's to offer the ‘Open Eyes’ Sponsorship Competition.

Children have to find key objects listed or complete fact finding exercises in order to help raise money for Barnardo’s and a locally selected children’s charity (65% of funds raised for Barnardo’s and 35% for the local charity).

The school that raises the most money will win over £400 worth of RE resources for their school (sponsored by the Muslim Council of Britain).
